The World's end Chapter 8

I ran into the control room, “Whats wrong?”

“We got a transmission!” Axel said pulling it up

“help me.” a little boy's voice sounded, “There after me help me” and the then the call ended

“What do we do?” Dex asked

“It could be a trick” Carter said shooting out the possibility cause he was right.

“Their not heartless. They would never use a little boy.” Camrie said

“Angels might not be but Demons are” Shawn stated the fact

“Then we can't send a whole team” Rylie said

“what if its an ambush?” Jeremy told her

“I'm sure two people could handle it” Rylie hissed

“Its safer not to send anyone” Adrian said

“no!” Ariel shouted, “We have to send someone, the possibility of letting a child die is not okay.”

“Then what do you suppose we do?” Ryan said

Ariel looked up, “Demi, Luke could you two handle this? Even if its an ambush?”

“Are you doubting my skills?” Demi asked

“We got this Ariel” Luke smiled

“Then go.”

Demi and Luke jumped through the trees, “Hey Demi?”

“What?” she said a few trees ahead of him.

“do you think its an ambush?” he asked

“I do.” Demi said looking out from the trees, spotting the clearing the transmission came from, “But Ariel is right. If its real we have to help.”

“There!” Luke said spotting the little boy, he jumped down, “hey its okay we got your call”

“Really?” The boy smiled and looked at Luke, “I thought you'd all be smarter.” The boy turned into a demon and the turned to dust, Demi stepped on the stone, “So it was an ambush”

Luke grabbed his spear, “Well good thing we are prepared.”

“Right, But we nee-SHIT!” Demi jumped to the left, 50 angels and demons had shown up, “Their not going to give me a chance to call Ariel.”

“Lets get the numbers down. Then call” Luke said

“Right” Demi said

“Ariel!” Talia ran into the control room, “We need to go get them”

“Talia they have only been gone a few hours” Ariel told her, “Have faith”

“ARIEL WE NEED TO GO AFTER THEM!” she shouted, “Something is wrong.”

Ariel nodded, “Alright lets go.”

 “RAH!” Demi shouted as she got hit in the head, once one enemy fell five more came in its place

“There is no end!” Luke spat out some blood.

“Everyone must have noticed something wrong. Someone is coming. Keep fighting Luke” Demi huffed and ran forward

"Be careful Demi!" Luke shouted

"You to Luke"Demi ran forward into a group if Demons. Luke ran into a group of angels.

"you look perfect!" The angel said.

“Perfect for what?”

“For joing us.” the angel smiled

Luke jumped on the angels back and shoved his spear through its back."I got a girl waiting for me I can't" Luke grabbed the Halo and was about to crush it.

But an Angel whispered "you will regreat that" the Angel put the palm of his hands onto Luke's heart and a bright light started to form

"ARG!!" Luke was yelled.

“LUKE I'M COMING!” Demi yelled, and she fought her way through the cluster of enemies she was in. The Angel dropped Luke because of Demi.

Demi's arms was covered up to her elbows in blood. "Luke!!" Demi grabbed Luke. What Demi saw shocked her.

Luke looked up and a halo was already starting to form on his head."Luke! Its going to be ok! We will take you back to the base we will find a way to make you better!"

"No...Demi...I need you to kill me"

"No!" Demi had tears in her eyes "I promised we would both come back!"

"I will be! But Demi...I want to know I lived...as me and not them"

"No no no!!" Luke placed Demi's hands on the sword and placed it on his heart "ill help you" he whispered

"Luke..." Demi's face was full of tears

“Demi....don't cry”

“I Can't!”

“It was nice to see you show emotion..” Luke smiled and coughed, “DEMI!”

Demi shoved the knife through his heart, “Thank you” whispered in the air as Luke turned into dust. Demi looked down at his halo, she picked up “hello. Greyson” The halo hooked itself around her arm, but her sword changed, it was now slightly bigger, and gold.

"Demi!!" I yelled. she stood there looking up at the sky. The blood on her arms went down and dripped down her finger tips, her face smeared with blood and dirt.

Tears running down her face."Demi.." looked around, Luke was gone. Where did he go?

"He was about to turn into An Angel...He told he he wanted to die..to know he lived being him..i broke my promise to bring us both home...I wasn't suppose to..he was suppose to stay safe.."  

"Demi.." I whispered, but this was new, Angels could turn people in to angels, could demons to. I looked over and saw Talia was walking forward.

"Demi you didn't break any promises" Talia told her

"Yes I did or Luke be here..."Demi's knees gave out but Talia caught her.

"no you didn't..you promised he be fine. and now he is"Talia hugged her "You saved him...thank you.."Talia continued to hug Demi but Demi only hid her face in Talia's shoulder not moving. if it was because Demi sad/pissed off or the blood all over her I don't know. But she was now showing the emotions I thought she had lost so long ago.

I walked in carrying Demi on my back, “go gather everyone” I told Talia, she nodded and jogged off.

“Where are we going?” Demi whispered

I smiled, “I'm taking you to your room so you can get clean then I need to talk to everyone.”

“I'm sorry” she cried I felt her tears through my coat.

“its ok.” I whispered, “you tried”

I opened her door and set her on her bed, “I will be back to check on you”

I walked into where we all meet to see everyone looking at me, “Ariel!” Maya smiled

“where are Demi and Luke?” Austin asked

“Demi is fine.” I told them

“and Luke?” Ember asked

I looked at them, “He didn't make it”

I heard gasps all around, and then I saw tears leave eyes, “What happened?” Anna asked

“Angels and Demons can change a person. To an Angel and a Demon. An Angel changed Luke. He requested Demi to kill him. So he could die as him, and remember us” I said looking downstairs

“But...Luke.” Camrie looked down

I turned, “I need to go check on Demi, pull out your best clothes. Tomorrow we send him off.”

I walked in expecting Demi to be clean, but she looked bruised and beaten still, bloody and dirty. She sat on her floor.

“Demi....”  

“I know....but I didn't have the strength...” she cried, “First Grey...then Luke.” she punched the floor “what happens when your next Ariel!? I CAN'T LET YOU BE NEXT!”

“Demi”

“YOUR GOING TO DIE LIKE THEM!” she shouted

I kneeled down and pressed my forehead to hers, I smiled, “Thank you. For worrying about me, But I am right here. I am not leaving you. Or anyone. Demi I'm here to stay” I saw the tears run down Demi's face. I helped her up, “go get in the tub”

I sat outside in front of the door, and I could hear Demi get in the tub, “Demi?”

“What?”

“what happened with Grey?” I hated asking, but I had to know...it got silent all I heard was the small drips of water. I heard her move slightly.

“alright...” she let out a breaht “I'll tell you.”
